Every pre-primary teacher knows that stories are powerful tools which grasp pupils' attention and enhance their language development. The main aim of this ‘Small Talk’ session is to inspire teachers of the youngest learners to present language not as separate items of vocabulary but as functional chunks in a child-friendly context of stories. It will also offer a set of ideas for circle activities that are both fun for children and manageable for teachers.
